About Me

sudo-samurai

Hi, I’m Mangesh, and I’m glad you’re here.

I wear many hats — infrastructure engineer, entrepreneur, market enthusiast, husband, father — but at the heart of it all, I’m a builder. I build systems, solutions, ideas, and relationships. sudo-samurai.com is where I document that journey — the learnings, experiments, wins, failures, and philosophies that shape how I approach technology and life.

The Engineer in Me

Professionally, I run Stribog, a company focused on delivering enterprise-grade infrastructure and IT services. From high-availability Kubernetes clusters to secure private cloud environments, my work revolves around designing systems that are resilient, scalable, and maintainable.

I’m deeply invested in:

  • Infrastructure as Code — especially SaltStack, Terraform, NixOS, Flakes, and Ansible.
  • Container Ecosystems — Kubernetes, Helm, Rook-Ceph, and Prometheus.
  • Virtualization & Storage — KVM, Proxmox, GlusterFS, and Ceph.
  • Automation Pipelines — GitLab CI/CD, Jenkins, n8n, Flowise, and agentic self-improving RAGs.
  • Security — from wireguard-based VPN topologies to encrypted-at-rest storage and secure secrets management.

I enjoy pushing the boundaries of open-source tooling — not just for what it does, but for what it enables. I’m especially interested in creating self-sufficient, transparent, and cost-effective infrastructures that don’t compromise on control or privacy.

The Market Enthusiast

Outside the world of servers and containers, I have a long-standing passion for the financial markets — both primary and secondary. I study Technical Analysis with a particular fascination for the Elliott Wave Principle, and I’m always intrigued by the patterns that emerge from chaos.

I believe in long-term wealth creation, grounded in patience, discipline, and data. My approach to markets is the same as my approach to systems — layered, thoughtful, and value-driven. Whether it’s a portfolio or a production cluster, I strive to add value to everything I touch.

The Human Side

Beyond the roles and responsibilities, I’m a loving husband and a doting father to two incredible grown-up kids. My family is my compass — they keep me grounded, inspired, and constantly learning.

In the rare moments I’m not immersed in infrastructure diagrams or candlestick charts, you’ll likely find me:

  • Pulling a perfect shot on my Lelit Bianca V3 espresso machine
  • Breaking a sweat at my kickboxing class
  • Deep-diving into open-source communities or niche research papers

Why “sudo-samurai”?

Because I believe in precision, discipline, and service — much like the samurai of old. But I also believe in having root access to the systems we depend on — not just technically, but philosophically.

Whether it’s through clean automation scripts, well-architected clusters, or sharing what I’ve learned, this site is my way of contributing back — openly, transparently, and with intent.
